Port Talbot Parkway Railway Station is located on the main line railway with Great Western services running from London Paddington through Reading, Swindon, Bristol Parkway (connections from north east England and Midlands), Newport, Cardiff, Bridgend, Port Talbot and onwards to Neath and Swansea.

Transport For Wales runs direct services to Port Talbot Parkway from Cardiff, Newport, Hereford, Shrewsbury, Crewe and Manchester, with connections at Cardiff from south and west of England.

For overseas visitors, there are good rail/air links from London Gatwick and Heathrow, Bristol and Cardiff International Airports.

Sustrans Cycle Route 887 takes you from our coast at Aberavon Seafront all the way to Afan Forest Park. This off-road, level cycle route takes you through Port Talbot Town Centre and on to the villages of Cwmavon, Pontrhydyfen, Cymmer, Blaengwynfi and Abergwynfi at the top of the Afan Valley.
